Here’s what some of our current volunteers say!

I find Empower’s approach to development fascinating. I had not heard of this approach before, and the more I learnt about it, the more it resonates with me. I volunteer with Empower because I see how passionate the people who work for this organisation are, and believe that the work Empower does creates meaningful and lasting change in rural communities. I also believe Empower’s approach and principles should be shared so that this mindset and form of development has the potential to be adopted more widely.

I was looking for a fulfilling activity, beyond my daily work that could fit my personal aspirations. I had also finished a postgraduate course in the international development area and I was eager to have some experience in the field. I was also beginning to get interested in social entrepreneurship issues. Getting to know Empower was a great discovery! I felt immediately connected with the organization values, which definitely encouraged me to join.
